Hey Mama

The chaos that I am in feels like a LOT even though I know it’s minor compared to everything happening in the world. I’m sure any and every parent can empathize with this. We just bought and moved into our new home and of course, 3 days after moving in my car breaks down (the family car), people at my job get laid off as a part of the tech industries’ mass layoffs, and here I am, trying to keep my head above water while working full time.

Here I am writing my very first blog post in the midst of our chaos. My car is in the shop and it’ll be just over $2700 (so far) to fix. It’s been 4 days since the layoffs. My heart goes out to the new parents who have been laid off. My heart hurts for the people who have just met a milestone (or not) in life, only to get told that their company that they’ve been working for, for YEARS decided to let go of their positions…what if their car breaks down? What if they are the only people supporting their families? What if they are alone?

My name is Aisha. I am a millennial mama of a toddler who is now WALKING and exploring LIFE. She is my joy. She is so full of life, curious, HILARIOUS and it is so much fun watching her grow and form who she is.

Welcome to the mom blog! Where I’ll be talking about the REAL life. The woohoo’s and woes, ups and downs of mom life, wfh life, and trying to keep my body and mind in a healthy state.
